Why Wodewoze?
"Wodewoze" draws its name from the wodewose (or wodewoose), a mythical wild man of the woods, similar to our modern Bigfoot. Found in European folklore, the wodewose represents humanity’s untamed, primal connection to nature. This symbolism resonates deeply with me—I’ve always felt a pull toward nature, non-conformity, and questioning the rules of society.
The "z" in Wodewoze is my personal touch. It’s a tribute to my father, an electrical engineer, who would enter "ZOT" as his initials in arcade games, telling me it was the sound electricity made. By adding the "z," I’m honoring his legacy and bringing a personal connection to the brand.
For me, Wodewoze represents the blend of wildness, creativity, and the roots that shaped who I am. It’s about living freely, experimenting with ideas, and embracing the wild side of life—just like the legendary wodewose.
