As an avid gardener and lover of spicy food, I’ve always been passionate about growing rare hot peppers and making my own salsas and hot sauces. But there’s a downside to handling peppers—you never realize how much they burn until it’s too late. I learned this the hard way after touching my face, and worse, one time I went to the restroom after chopping peppers. The result? Let’s just say it burned so much, I found myself straddling the sink, splashing water where the sun doesn’t shine!
That’s when the idea for the Knife Scoop was born. I needed a tool that would let me handle my chopped ingredients without having to touch them. My goal was to create something natural and sustainable, so I made the Knife Scoop out of bamboo, which is not only eco-friendly but also sturdy. To add a bit of fun, I included a magnet in the design, making it easy to attach the scoop to the knife.
The Knife Scoop is more than just a kitchen tool—it’s a way to make cooking safer, cleaner, and a little bit more enjoyable. Born from necessity and a few fiery experiences, this tool is now an essential part of my cooking routine, and I hope it becomes part of yours too.
